Hangjun R&D Team Achieves Breakthrough in Structural Stability for Zinc Alloy Doors

22 May, 2026

Hangjun Door Industry, a leading custom door manufacturer based in Hangzhou, today announced a significant technological breakthrough in the structural stability of zinc alloy doors. Developed by the company’s in-house R&D team, the innovation delivers a dramatic improvement in frame rigidity, impact resistance, and long-term dimensional stability under extreme weather conditions.

The new reinforcement architecture combines a high-density zinc alloy formulation with an optimized multi-chamber internal skeleton. In laboratory tests, doors incorporating the new design withstood impact forces more than 35% higher than previous generations while maintaining less than 0.2 mm of deformation after repeated load cycles. The solution also addresses common issues such as corner warping and hinge settlement, which have long challenged the zinc alloy door category.

“Structural stability is the backbone of door safety and durability,” said Li Wei, Head of R&D at Hangjun Door Industry. “Our team spent over 14 months analyzing failure modes, material behaviors, and manufacturing tolerances. The result is a patent-pending structural system that not only improves performance but also allows for more consistent production at scale.”

Early adoption of the enhanced zinc alloy doors has already been implemented in Hangjun’s “Classic Series” and “Trendy Series” products. Distributors and architectural specifiers in North America and Southeast Asia have reported positive feedback during pilot shipments, particularly noting the door’s resistance to twisting during transport and installation.

The breakthrough was achieved using advanced finite element analysis (FEA) and real‑time stress monitoring on Hangjun’s mechanized production line. The R&D team collaborated with materials science experts from Zhejiang University, leveraging local academic resources to accelerate validation.

Hangjun’s manufacturing center, spanning over 18,000 square meters along the Grand Canal, has begun integrating the new structural design into all zinc alloy door production. No price increase is planned for standard orders, though custom projects requiring extreme load ratings can request additional reinforced options.
